MODES AND TERMS OF PARTICIPATION

 

1. REGISTRATION

Registration for the tournament is possible only through the dedicated form on the website www.blackpantherscup.it where all instructions can be found.
The form must be fully completed in all its parts, and all required files must be attached.
Registration will be considered valid only upon receipt of the payment confirmation for the fee.

2. INSURANCE
2.1 Coverage

It is the responsibility of each team to only register FIP (Italian Basketball Federation) members on the score sheet so that everyone is covered by insurance. The organization reserves the right to check such coverage.

2.2 Liability

By registering for the Black Panthers Cup tournament, the appointed team manager must have the necessary authorizations from the participants, the guardians of the participants, and the registered association.
Black Panthers Cup has taken out an adequate civil liability insurance policy towards third parties to cover the risks arising from the organization of the Tournament.
Neither Black Panthers Cup nor the organizer are responsible for compensation and are also not responsible for financial losses or damages that may occur due to events outside the organizer’s control, such as war events, fires, floods, disruptions in public transport connections, government actions, strikes, or other similar circumstances.

3. HOTEL BEHAVIOR

The Team Manager, as previously specified, is responsible for any damages caused by their players. Dignified and respectful behavior is recommended to not disturb the possible presence of other guests and to maintain silence from 11 PM to 6 AM.

4. CANCELLATION POLICY
4.1 Group Cancellation

The fee is 30% refundable only for those who cancel at least 1 month in advance.

4.2 Individual Cancellations

Individual cancellations (sick player, last-minute injuries, etc.) can be refunded as follows:
– 100% refund for cancellations made at least one week before arrival;
– 50% refund for cancellations made at least 48 hours before arrival;
– no refund for cancellations made less than 48 hours before arrival.
The same must be requested by sending an email to: segreteria@blackpantherscup.it indicating the team name + athlete’s name + any justification.

GENERAL REGULATIONS

1. Only companies regularly affiliated with FIP and athletes regularly registered with FIP can participate in the tournament.

2. Temporary loans of players between companies are allowed for the duration of the tournament, provided they are always regularly registered players and under the total responsibility of the binding companies, however presenting a waiver from the transferring Company;

3. An Athlete can play for only one Company, but Athletes from the same Company can participate in multiple categories;

4. No game shifts are foreseen for possible concurrences between categories;

5. At the time of the first game, the documents of all the athletes must be delivered in an official game list indicating compulsorily: Jersey number, Surname and Name, Date of birth;

6. Participating teams must have a minimum of 8 players registered on the score sheet and a maximum of 15;

7. Teams must arrive 15 minutes before each game as per schedule, which will also be the minimum guaranteed time for warming up;

8. Teams must organize transfers from the gyms with their means;

9. The definitive match schedule for the group stage will be communicated later through a specific file uploaded on the website www.blackpantherscup.it and will also include the final phase. Instead, the exact definition of the teams based on the rankings of the first phase will be delivered on-site for each tournament;

10. Each group is designed to allow all teams to play the same number of games;

11. The matches will be refereed by federal referees;

12. The balls used for the games and for the warming-up phase will be provided by the organization;

13. The start time must be respected; No tolerance is allowed on the start time of the games. The renunciation or withdrawal from a game involves automatic exclusion from the Tournament with the fines and penalties provided by the Tournament regulations.

14. The team that is written first in the match schedule is considered as the home team, therefore it must have a light-colored game kit, while the team written second must wear a dark kit.

TECHNICAL REGULATIONS

Preamble: The matches will be directed by referees and/or mini referees and must be inspired by the principle of “fair play”. All participants (athletes, coaches, managers, and parents in tow) must accept the decisions of the referees and maintain respectful behavior towards everyone, both on and off the field.

SPECIAL RULES

1. Four periods are played. Each period is 10 minutes of play but the time stops only on free throws and at the referee’s request;

2. The foul bonus is 5 in all categories (from the 6th foul);

3. The referee must not touch the ball on throw-ins for infractions or baskets, but must on fouls;

4. Free throws will be administered with the 1+1 (if the first is scored, the second is granted);

5. Substitutions are free, there is no obligation for changes. However, the purpose of the tournament is to be remembered, and coaches are strongly requested to rotate all the players registered on the score sheet in the game;

6. For all categories, the 3-point shot, defensive double teaming, blocking, zone defense… generally, basketball is valid;

7. In Women’s Categories, the ball Size 6 is used. In men’s categories, ball Size 7;

8. The categories are pure Under, there is no minimum age limit for participation. Only common sense;

9. For anything not expressly written, the general FIP regulations will apply;

10. For the purposes of the rankings, the scores will be reported in the program of each category;

11. In case of a tie in the group, the following will be considered: A) head-to-head – B) point quotient. In case of a difference in the number of registered teams, a coefficient will be applied for the recalculation of the separate ranking.
